Community Nurses are qualified nurses in a specific professional role: They offer their services close to home and free of charge and have a focus on health. They are there for a specific target group, for example for older people over the age of 75 who still live at home or people with mental illnesses.
The caregivers are located in various communities throughout Austria. As Community Nurses they support elderly people and their relatives in particular. They are the central point of contact for health issues and, in particular, for people who do not use mobile services or other services offered by care facilities. Community Nurses are preventive and carry out so-called "preventive home visits".
Community Nursing aims to better meet the need for nursing and care in Austria and to increase the well-being of those people who need support. It also aims to strengthen health literacy and self-help among older people and their relatives.
The Community Nurse is your local contact for all matters relating to health and care. In particular, she will support you with any existing or impending
