Inpatient children's hospice

Your child and family can be admitted to an inpatient children's hospice for a certain period of time. In this facility, you will receive relief and professional support. An inpatient children's hospice is geared towards the special needs and wishes of children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. A specially qualified team looks after your child and the whole family. Inpatient children's hospices have family areas for your child and their family. For example, there is a communal kitchen, schooling, playrooms, a garden, and an opportunity to interact with animals.

There are currently two such offers in Austria

  • Sterntalerhof, an inpatient children's hospice with a psychosocial focus, in Burgenland, and
  • a single children's hospice bed in the Hilde-Umdasch-Haus in Lower Austria
