Social contacts should always be maintained and, especially in the later years of life, preserved and also rebuilt. The older we get, the more often we suffer personal loss. The consequence of loss is loneliness.
Take part in social gatherings or plan your own meetings. Attend courses, become a member of a club or help others. Trying out new activities not only contributes to your physical fitness. Your mind also benefits from every new challenge. This also has a positive side effect, which in turn has an impact on your overall health: you get to meet new people and make new social contacts.
