Disability Identity card

The Disability Identity Card is an ID card issued by the Sozialministeriumservice that entitles you to various benefits. You can also apply if you are restricted in your mobility due to your dementia. Whether you receive financial support depends on the severity of your condition, as a certain degree of disability must be established.

With the entry "Unreasonableness regarding the use of public transport due to permanent mobility impairment resulting from a disability", you can receive the following benefits, for example:

  • Exemption from motor-related insurance tax
  • Exemption from parking fees
  • Free highway vignette

The application is free of charge and is made via the Social Ministry Service.
