Many people want to live at home for as long as possible. There is a range of services available to help manage everyday life more easily. For example, mobile services can offer support with shopping, tidying up, cooking or with personal hygiene and getting dressed. There are many support services available throughout Austria, both for people who need more care and assistance and for those who need less help.

Information on support services
The Citizen’s service of the Ministry of Social Affairs is available to answer general questions about the individual offers. Under the following link you will find contact options as well as information in plain language and sign language:
On the website of the information service of the Ministry of Social Affairs you will find details on the specific offers available throughout Austria. Visit the website and enter the relevant term in the search field. After clicking on the magnifying glass, you can filter the results. To find offers in your area, select your federal province.

Many of the services described are provided throughout the federal provinces by organisations that are part of the Bundesarbeitsgemeinschaft Freie Wohlfahrt (BAG).
The organisations include Caritas, Diakonie, Hilfswerk, Rotes Kreuz and Volkshilfe. Simply click on the relevant logo of the organisation you are interested in. You will be redirected to the relevant website, where you can select your federal province to find offers in your area.
