School travel allowance

If your child with a disability cannot reasonably be expected to travel to school without using a means of transport, you are entitled to a school travel allowance. This benefit applies to all children who travel 2 kilometers or more to school.

For children with disabilities, the subsidy is independent of the length of the journey. Apply for the subsidy at the relevant tax office. Any remaining costs will be covered by the responsible state government office in your federal state.
