If your child has a disability and cannot reasonably be expected to travel to school without using a means of transport, you are entitled to a school travel allowance. This benefit normally applies to all children who travel at least 2 kilometres to school.
For children with disabilities, the subsidy is independent of the length of the journey. You can apply for the subsidy at the relevant office of the Tax Authority. Any remaining costs will be covered by the responsible government office in your federal province.
