Psychosocial health, also known as mental or psychological health, is the ability to cope with internal and external demands. Being psychosocially healthy means being in a state of inner well-being that is based on positive self-perception, the development of one’s own abilities and a resource-strengthening approach to conflicts and stress. Personal well-being depends greatly on one’s social environment. That is why psychosocial health must always be viewed in the context of social contacts, which also offer a wide range of opportunities for influence.
