Reimbursement of costs for aids

Children and young people with disabilities are reimbursed for the cost of aids they need. An example of such an aid is a wheelchair. You will receive the reimbursement from your child's health insurance. A deductible must then be paid. However, this can be covered by the office of the competent provincial government of your province or the regional office of the Social Ministry Service. When you apply for reimbursement of costs, please also send the invoice or cost estimate for the aid and the doctor's prescription. You must also enclose proof of income for all persons living in the same household.

You can submit the application to your child's health insurance provider. Under certain conditions, the state government of your federal state or the state office of the Social Ministry Service will cover the remaining costs.
